Restaurants are closing all around town or at least limiting hours because summer is coming. There’s a lot to be sad about and miss this time of year in the Phoenix food scene, especially if you have a penchant for heavy meals and carboloading. However, if you are seeking liquid solace this season, Thirsty Lion is offering a drink deal to those forced to stick it out in the summer heat.

From now until August, any time the temperatures hits over 110 degrees, Thirsty Lion Pub & Grill in Tempe Marketplace will be slinging half-priced house margaritas and mojitos to help you cool off.
With the drinks regularly priced at about $7.50 each, this “Beat the Heat” promo knocks drink prices for those two cocktails down to under $4 per drink. While that doesn’t make up for the fact that your AC bill is probably going to be close to $200 every month from now until the promotion ends, it’s at least something.
