Yesterday we discussed Miller Coors’ recent buyout of Crispin Cider as well as Anheuser Busch’s foray into the apple wine category. Cider is growing in popularity for a reason — it’s great on its own — but it can also play very well with others. Like Batman and Superman, cider and beer have very different origins but can make excellent teammates. Check out these three drinks made with the combination of cider and beer.

Snake Bite
Ingredients:
1 part cider
1 part lager

How to make it:
Fill a glass halfway with cider, then pour in the lager to fill. Stir. If you add a dash of blackcurrant liqueur, you’ve got yourself a Diesel.

Ingredients:
1 part cider 
1 part Irish dry stout
