Dozens of Valley residents have found their own way to reduce their foreign egg dependence, and they want to share their secrets with you Saturday at the Phoenix Tour de Coops.

The tour will go to several local chicken coops to show how the Valley can get sustainable and self-sufficient in their poultry farming. The coops will also include ducks and quails.

Tour organizers made the tour a self-guided experience spanning from east Mesa to Paradise Valley. The event starts at 10 a.m. and goes until 3 p.m. Tickets are available at the Phoenix Public Market and on the Tour de Coops Web site, tourdecoops.org.
