Mr. Scrib’s, a fast-casual pizza chain based in West Michigan, is planning its first venture out of the Great Lake State with plans to open eight to 10 locations in the Valley over the next 18 months.
In business since 1961 and touting daily-made fresh-baked dough, signature sauce, and a “cult-like following in West Michigan” (Note: I lived in West Michigan for over five years and have never heard of this restaurant chain), Mr. Scrib’s opened its first location on Monday, July 16, at 25155 North 67th Avenue (67th Avenue and Happy Valley.) It’s second location will open in mid-August in Goodyear, with locations to follow in Scottsdale and Tempe.
