Yes, you read that right. Shake Shack is soon welcoming its 100th location.
Oh, you mean the free ShackBurgers part? Well, if you show up early to either of the Valley’s Shake Shack locations today, Tuesday, August 16, you get a free single ShackBurger.
Metro Phoenix has two Shake Shack locations: the first in Scottsdale in the east wing of Scottsdale Fashion Square, and the other in Phoenix inside the Uptown Plaza shopping center. Both will start serving free burgers at 10:30 a.m. — though it’s recommended you get in line earlier if you want in on the free food.
If you’re unfamiliar, Shake Shack is a modern burger stand known for its 100 percent, all-natural Angus beef burgers and cage-free chicken sandwiches. The restaurant’s menu also features crinkle-cut fries; frozen custard in the form of shakes, cones, and concretes; and even craft beer and wine at the Scottsdale and Phoenix locations.

The 100th location of the Shake Shack chain, which started 12 years ago as a hot dog cart at Madison Square Park in New York City, will be located at the Boston Seaport.
