ould overnight British superstar Susan Boyle have the top album in the UK two years in a row?
It’s very possible, according to Billboard.
Boyle just released her second album, The Gift, which debuted at the top spot on the UK charts. Her first album, I Dreamed a Dream, which was a Christmas album, was the best-selling album of 2009 in the UK even though it was released in November. Not bad at all for a newbie.
Now that she’s (finally!) collaborating with Lou Reed, who knows what sorts of bigger and better things her good fortune will bring. If she can make a duet with Simon Cowell or Piers Morgan happen though, I’ll definitely buy an album.
