If you dared to log on to Twitter this weekend, you undoubtedly saw the onslaught of not only massive amounts of Tweets on the start of the World Cup, but also on the Bonnaroo Festival that you were not at.
There’s nothing like a constant influx of instantaneously updated reminders that you are not at one of the summer’s biggest music fests to help you sink a little deeper into the summertime blues
Thankfully though, there are ways to remedy this. While our sister paper the Village Voice published a nice little piece titled Reasons To Be Happy You’re Not at Bonnaroo: 2010 Twitter Edition on their music blog, Pitchfork and NPR have provided some other alternatives. They’ve posted a ton of videos and sound recordings from the event, including clips from the performances of Jay-Z, Regina Spektor, She & Him, Dead Weather and tons more.
Perhaps this is the best of both worlds — now we can get our music fix without all the hippies.
