Starting with the 2010 festival, Coachella will offer campers the opportunity to camp right by their car in an allotted 10′ x 30′ space. In years past, campers have had to lug all their shit from their car over to the camping spaces/endless sea of tents. This year will allow those willing to camp the opportunity to even sleep in their car, if that just so happens to be their particular fancy. RVs will also be allowed a parking spot to camp by/raise a family/whatever it is people do with RVs. Let it be known that an RV, as defined by the folks at Coachella, is “a vehicle made for sleeping” with the all important caveat that “a truck with a mattress thrown in the back is not a vehicle made for sleeping.” Not where I’m from, Coachella, not where I’m from…
Layaway tickets are also being offered this year, as they were last year. Basically, you can pay for 50% of the $269 three-day pass now and the remaining 50% will be deducted from your bank account the first week of March.
