In perfect Girl Talk fashion, the good people of Goldenvoice set up a surprise late night release of Coachella’s overwhelmingly impressive lineup.

Many of Michael Lopez’s lineup predictions were spot on. The Strokes made the cut, as did Duran Duran, although on a different day than what Billboard speculated.

The Black Keys are on the bill as well. After having canceled a slew of tour dates across Australia and New Zealand, as well as a few around the US (but not the show in Mesa), the blues rock duo is sticking it out for Coachella despite reported exhaustion.

This year’s festival will also feature double headliners on Sunday night: Kanye West and the Strokes. Kings of Leon will be headlining on Friday night and Arcade Fire on Saturday night. Other highlights of the overall artist roster include Lauryn Hill, Mumford and Sons, Ratatat, Brandon Flowers, Erykah Badu, Best Coast, the Morning Benders, Jenny and Johnny, and Phantogram.

$30,000

A small handful of Arizona bands appear on the roster too, including fun. and Jimmy Eat World.

I’m stoked beyond words. Now that the lineup is out, it’s official: this year’s festival will somehow manage to collectively top last year’s fantastic Coachella weekend.
