Phoenix’s best theater is getting a little more use: Arrested Development star David Cross will perform at downtown’s beloved Orpheum Theatre on September 23.
Cross is best known for his role as Tobias Funk on the Emmy winning Fox comedy, but began is career performing stand-up in his hometown of Atlanta at age 18. He’s written for The Ben Stiller Show, where he won an Emmy then went on to work on the Emmy nominated HBO sketch comedy series Mr. Show with Bob and David. He’s also done spots on Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Freak Show, Family Guy, School for Scoundrels, Wonder Showzen, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Crank Yankers, Just Shoot Me!, King of the Hill, Men in Black I & II, Tenacious D, The Drew Carey Show, and The Cable Guy.
