Smashboxx in Scottsdale will finally get its newest neighbor tonight as Dollhouse Cocktail Lounge is opening to the clubgoing public.
After two months of renovation to the old Crown Room over the summer, Old Town nightlife impresario Chad Landau (who also helps manage the adjacent Smashboxx) will be raising the curtain on the Indian Plaza destination.
From the looks of the place, which we spied last night during a special sneak preview, the Dollhouse sports a cutesy-pie and girlish vibe. And according to its list of upcoming guest DJs, the lounge will host some of the grooviest turntable artists from L.A. and Vegas.
For instance, S.K.A.M. Artists, the DJ agency that’s been booking its big-name clients at the Airia Nightclub in Chander for the past few months, is bringing an array of talent to the Dollhouse.

YouTube star and Sin City spinner Graham Funke starts thing out this Monday during the lounge’s Industry night, followed by appearances by club-bangers maestro Cubeechee on Halloween, and electro/rock/hip-hop selecta DJ Reach on November 7.
Artists like DJ/percussionist Ravi Drums, Stonerokk, and Eric D-Lux will also be featured throughout the month of November. More info on the Dollhouse and it’s upcoming turntablist appearances can be found here.
