Many recording artists are being touted as “hosts” of big parties this weekend, which is sort of a nebulous designation that could mean anything from performing or serving as an emcee to simply getting on the microphone, hyping up the crowd, and then heading back to the VIP section.

In regards to Macklemore’s gig at the W on Sunday, the press release sent out didn’t specify what his hosting duties will entail. Of course, fans are likely hoping that he will pop off with a few of his hits like “Thrift Shop” or “Same Love.”

At least they’ll get to say that they partied with the dude, at any rate. Admission is $50 for the event, which begins at 10 p.m.
