McDowell Mountain Music Festival’s 2013 lineup, featuring The Shins, The Roots, Deer Tick, Les Claypool’s Duo de Twang, and more, has expanded to include a host of local Phoenix-based acts. The weekend festival will now include Kongos, Mergence, Banana Gun, Fayuca, The Veragroove, Yellow Minute, Decker, and Jared and The Mill, as well as Tucson-based jam band Top Dead Center, performing at one of the festivals after parties at Crescent Ballroom.

The festival marks a change of location from previous years. After the closing of The Compound, organizers took the opportunity to try out a new space, settling into Phoenix’s historic Margaret T. Hance Park, with after parties hosted at Crescent Ballroom.
