The Strokes have finally finished a long awaited album, according to SPIN.
While the mixing and mastering still has yet to be done, the recording process itself has been completed.
After working out their differences and deciding to go forth with making a new album, they worked with Beck and White Stripes producer John Chicarelli on a record that has yet to be given a name.
Lead singer Julian Casablancas said the new music sounds a lot like their last album, First Impressions of Earth, but that he’s going to try to give it its own new twist and “funk it up a little bit.” Honestly, that doesn’t sound all that promising but here’s hoping the new record, whatever it’s called, is a good one.
