Show: Paul McCartney at Jobing.com Arena

Date: Sunday, March 28, 2010

Background: Glendale was the first stop on Paul McCartney’s Up and Coming Tour. Macca played an amazing 40-song set that was chockfull of Beatles, Wings, and solo hits. He even played “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da” and “Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five” to an American audience for the first time ever, and he sure blew everyone away.

Someone else said: “Throughout the night, McCartney’s sense of showmanship was as loopy as ever. He’s still the cute one that way. And he genuinely seemed like he’d have played another hour when he told the crowd, ‘There does come a time where we have got to go home. And strangely, it coincides with the time when you’ve gotta go.'” – Ed Masley in The Arizona Republic
