The Sex and The City 2 soundtrack features music by some of today’s top female hitmakers, including Leona Lewis, Alicia Keys and Jennifer Hudson, who will not be in the movie. One of the most surprising aspects of the disc is a cover of Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” by Liza Minnelli, who contributes another song to the soundtrack and makes a cameo as herself in the film. Knowing Minnelli’s marriage track record (four divorces), the song choice is interesting.
