Tool posted a cryptic Facebook post Thursday night, and all signs seem to point to a Tool tour coming in January 2016.
The announcement comes just weeks after Tool played its only tour date in 2015 at the Monster Mash festival on Halloween at Tempe Beach Park. The concert appearance wasn’t without controversy, as just days before New Times published an article in which Tool singer Maynard James Keenan called out the band’s most fanatical followers as being “insufferable.”
Keenan currently is on tour with Puscifer until mid-December. That band is supporting its third album, Money Shot, released October 30.
No word yet on official dates yet, though rumors are swirling among Tool fan boards that a complete list of dates will surface on Monday.
