There may be a lot of bitchy backbiting in the music business at large, but on a local level, great P-town bands understand the spirit of the season. Local rockers Goodbye Tomorrow are the epitome of “good sports” — when the musicians parted ways with bassist David Roat, they posted a heartfelt lament on their Web site with sincere wishes for his future success. They’re also donating their time, playing a show without payment to help feed the hungry. Emo on with your sweet selves! Goodbye Tomorrow shares the bill with Yancey, a “post-core, post-punk” three-piece that considers fellow locals Batter the Drag an influence; Gilbert indie rockers Ashbury, whose promising demo is full of cleverly crafted melodic tunes; and songwriter Matt Reveles, who’ll provide some acoustic rock. $7 will get you in the door, and food donations will get you a warm, fuzzy feeling in your tummy.
