A northern Arizona politician may have taken the old political practice of kissing babies a little too far — way too far.
Michael Adam Brown, 29, a candidate for mayor in Page, was arrested yesterday for allegedly having sex with a minor.
Brown, who works as a juvenile probation officer for the county, is alleged to have had sex with a 17-year-old girl. The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office says Brown knew the victim.
Police say Brown is also associated with at least one local youth organization. The CCSO says it’s looking into whether there are more underage victims.

Brown was booked into Coconino County Jail on $23,000 bond. He’s been charged with one count of sexual conduct with a minor. His next court appearance is scheduled for December 30.
As for the status of his campaign: Brown did not immediately return our call this morning.
