Channel 4 (KVOA) News in Tucson reports that life-size cutout art displays featuring the likeness of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio have been popping at major intersection around the city.
One of the pieces, above, appears to depict Arpaio aiming a gun at a woman and young boy. Another shows a law officer holding a suspect at gunpoint. The news station reports it received an anonymous message claiming the art is “intended to raise the level of awareness surrounding the illegal immigration law enforcement debate.”
It seems Phoenix isn’t cool enough for the exhibit. Or maybe the artists just want to be sure they’re out of Arpaio’s jurisdiction.
