A Mexican national discovered on Tuesday that a bunch of bell peppers won’t conceal more than 2,000 pounds of marijuana from the authorities.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection made the find while the man was attempting to enter the United States through a commercial facility in Nogales with the load in a tractor-trailer.

A drug-sniffing dog sniffed out what it’s trained to sniff out, and 280 packages of weed, totaling more than 1,000 pounds, was found underneath the bell peppers.
The name of the 35-year-old driver wasn’t released since he wasn’t immediately charged but rather turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
