As we reported last week, Eric Byrnes, the Arizona Diamondbacks one-time golden boy, was released from the Seattle Mariners and is now getting paid $11 million — by the D-backs — to play beer league softball.

After being released from the Mariners, Byrnes joined a softball team sponsored by The Dutch Goose, a burger and beer joint in Menlo Park, California and it seems like he’s settling in nicely with his new club.

Byrnesy’s first game was last night and he didn’t disappoint, homering deep to left in his first at bat with the new team.

We got the video. Check it out after the jump.
