Remember that original Batmobile that was sold at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale over the weekend for more than $4.6 million?

RM Auctions reports back today that a 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta sold for $8,140,000, and says it’s a world record for that specific model.

Gooding & Company also sold an $8 million Ferrari this weekend — a 1958 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider was sold at its Scottsdale auction for $8,250,000.

Cars from Ferrari’s 250 series tend to be a bit expensive nowadays — in case you couldn’t tell already — like the Ferrari 250 GTO that sold for about $35 million last year.

As far as we can tell, these Ferrari roadsters were the two most-expensive cars sold at all the auctions that took place around the Valley this weekend.
