Arizona Cardinals’ wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald is laughing off his brother’s controversial Twitter remarks and has offered the younger Fitzgerald to QB Kurt Warner Sunday as penance for the statements.

“He’s going to be taking out the garbage, whatever Kurt wants,” Fitzgerald tells the Associated Press.

In the same interview, Fitzgerald stresses that there is no animosity between him and the venerable veteran QB that his brother referred to in one “tweet” as an “old ass man.”

“Teams are going to always throw their best shot at you every week, and I think it’s important as a player to understand it’s a team game,” Fitzgerald says. “It’s about what’s best for the team. If I’m open, I know Kurt’s going to find me. If I’m not, he’s going to find somebody else who’s going to move the chains, and that’s what it’s all about.”

Unlike many whiny NFL receivers, Fitzgerald is a class act and may have officially put an end to Twitter-gate with the well-timed interview and a sense of humor.

Terrell Owens and Chad “Ochocinco” might want to take note.
