U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will be in Phoenix today to promote Obamacare.
Sebelius isn’t exactly in everyone’s good graces right now, since her agency is responsible for rolling out the health insurance exchange website that’s been a world-famous failure so far.
Phoenix reportedly is one of 10 places the White House is sending officials to urge people to get coverage through the new healthcare law.
According to one report, “Sebelius is expected to tour a HHS customer call center for the Health Insurance Marketplace and then head to the Wesley Community and Health Center for meetings with local healthcare “Navigators” and others who been educating the public in Arizona about how to register and enroll in the Health Insurance Marketplace.”

The success stories of people signing up for coverage have been few and far between, and in places that don’t have a state-run exchange (like Arizona), there haven’t been any statistics released to show how many people have successfully signed up.
HHS has been adamant that the fixes are coming, and the agency’s been promoting that a lot of people have been signing up by phone — perhaps the reason Sebelius is heading to a call center in Phoenix.
