The Grand Canyon is now open — for a few more days, at least.
The state and the National Park Service came to an agreement for the state to fund operations of the park for seven days, at a cost of $93,000 per day.

The governor’s office said in a statement that they would “continue to assess next steps if the federal shutdown has not ended in those seven days.”
