Despite a less-than-impressive season (thanks to three even less-impressive quarterbacks), and being a member of one of the worst teams in all of football, Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald’s heading to Hawaii for the Pro Bowl.

Fitzgerald originally was selected as an alternate for the NFL’s all-star game, but because the Green Bay Packers beat the Chicago Bears yesterday, and are now going to the Super Bowl, Fitzgerald has been called to fill the spot originally intended for Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings.

This will be Fitzgerald’s fifth Pro Bowl appearance in seven seasons as a pro.

Fitzgerald had 90 receptions for 1137 yards as the Cards went 5-11 on the season. Fitzgerald only had six touchdowns this year, mainly because quarterback Derek Anderson was unable to get him the ball for much of the season.
