One of America’s most wanted killers is wanted no more — police in Tempe announced this morning the arrest of a man wanted in connection to the grisly 2009 murder of a Los Angeles man.
Daryl Anthony Sconiers, 27, is believed to have murdered 31-year-old Brian Caulfield on March 26, 2009, in Los Angeles during a home invasion gone wrong. He was arrested in Tempe last week after being on the run for nearly two years.
During his time on the run, Sconiers appeared on America’s Most Wanted, which is never good for an alleged murderer’s cause.
According to AMW, Sconiers and two other men posed as undercover police officers to gain access to the victim’s home. Caulfield and his roommate let the three men in and were placed in handcuffs.

Caulfield was on the phone with his mother at the time, who heard the entire ordeal.
Caulfield was taken to a bedroom, where after a brief struggle, he was shot at close range — with his mother listening in.
Video suveillance cameras at the apartment complex where the murder took place captured images of the three men. One was identified as 22-year-old Marquise Edwards, who turned himself into police and was charged with the murder. He beat the wrap, and was acquitted on September 27, 2010.
The other two men were identified as Sconiers and Kenyon “K-Mac” Aikens, but they were nowhere to be found — until last Thursday, when Sconiers was stopped by Tempe police while driving near Rural and Broadway Roads and later charged with possession of a stolen credit card.
Investigators made the connection between the man they’d taken into custody and a murder warrant out of Los Angeles, and Sconiers will now likely be extradite back to California to face a murder charge.
Aikens, however, remains on the run. According to AMW, he could be traveling back and forth between the Phoenix area and Atlanta, Georgia. Anyone with information about his whereabouts are asked to call police or 1-800-CRIME-TV.
