It’s puzzling in the age of Uber and Lyft that hundreds of Valley residents are expected to get stopped this Labor Day weekend and charged with driving under the influence.
But it always happens during long, holiday periods, despite the many warnings in the media about DUI task forces. Last year, police nabbed 549 drunk drivers in Arizona. And in 2013, the cops got 482.
Here’s where law enforcement will set up “saturation points” to catch DUIs in Phoenix, Tempe, and Scottsdale:
