Since Andrew Thomas quit his gig as Maricopa County attorney to run for attorney general, his sinister smirk hasn’t been plastered all over the New Times Web site nearly as often as when he was launching baseless investigations into judges and his — and Joe Arpaio’s — other political rivals.
With County Attorney Rick Romley’s bombshell announcement yesterday that a county grand jury rejected efforts by one of Thomas’ special prosecutors to issue felony indictments against Superior Court Judge Gary Donahoe, county manager David Smith, and several other county officials, Thomas’ mug was back in the news.
With his face forced upon us once again, all we could think is “wow, Andy Thomas kinda looks like super-bully Scut Farkus from A Christmas Story — he kinda acts like him, too.”

We also dropped by a GOP campaign event in Ahwatukee on Wednesday night and there he was, “staring out at us with his yellow eyes. He had yellow eyes. So help us god, yellow eyes!”
Thomas’ eyes weren’t actually yellow, but, while looking into them, all that came to mind was the following clip from the movie.
