A Maricopa County Superior Court judge has been asked to intervene in a spat between Sheriff Joe Arpaio and two candidates running for political office this year

You see, Arpaio’s started running TV ads he claims are in support of his re-election campaign — a lofty claim for a guy who isn’t up for re-election for two years..

The “campaign” ads become even more confusing because they don’t promote the sheriff as much as they bash those who oppose him politically — or oppose his little lap-dog Andrew Thomas, who is currently running against Tom Horne in the GOP primary for Attorney General.

In one of the ads, the narrator says “Tom Horne, favors amnesty for illegal immigrants; which could cost taxpayers’ billions.”

Horne, by the way, has denied that he supports amnesty — a hot topic among GOPers these days.
