The Pima County Attorney’s Office on Tuesday cleared members of the county’s SWAT Team for shooting at an ex-Marine 71 times during a drug investigation that netted a total of one bag of marijuana.

The ex-Marine, 26-year-old Jose Guerena, was holding an AR-15 assault rifle when the SWAT Team busted down his door firing 71 shots, 22 of which hit Guerena.

An investigation into the shooting also determined that Guerena wasn’t only holding the gun, but was pointing it at the officers as they stormed his house.
