Republican Congressman Trent Franks continues to hint that he plans to run for the Senate seat being vacated by Senator Jon Kyl, and last week, announced that the decision would be made by god and his constituents.
“I truly don’t know what God wants me to do and what is right for the country,” Franks told a group of Sun City Republicans.
Franks is popular in his district, but he’s not nearly as popular throughout the rest of the state, where his brand of far-right-wing-ism isn’t nearly as appealing to voters.
We have a feeling that while Franks waits for god to make his decision, the congressman will be taking a hard look at his polling numbers statewide before he makes any decision on a Senate run.
