A Phoenix woman accused of murdering a cab driver last month was in court today, where she pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder.
Corletha Davis, 33, told officers she had nothing to do with the November 22, murder of 37-year-old Brian Mann, a driver for Discount Cab. Some of the stuff cops found in her boyfriend’s apartment suggest otherwise.
When Davis was arrested, she was wearing a white tee-shirt and gray
shorts. However, a witness who watched Mann fall out of the driver’s
seat of the cab with gunshot wounds to his neck, and then saw Davis get
out of a rear door, told police he saw a woman with
long, dark hair and wearing a red sweat-shirt and black
pants, get out of the cab and walk towards the Highland Park Apartments
following the shooting.
Cops served a warrant at the apartment of Davis’ boyfriend, where she
allegedly went immediately following the shooting, and found nothing of
much evidentiary value — until they looked in the dishwasher.

shell casings found at the murder scene.
Davis’ next court appearance is scheduled for January 25.
