A Phoenix woman accused of murdering a cab driver last month was in court today, where she pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder.

Corletha Davis, 33, told officers she had nothing to do with the November 22, murder of 37-year-old Brian Mann, a driver for Discount Cab. Some of the stuff cops found in her boyfriend’s apartment suggest otherwise.

When Davis was arrested, she was wearing a white tee-shirt and gray shorts. However, a witness who watched Mann fall out of the driver’s seat of the cab with gunshot wounds to his neck, and then saw Davis get out of a rear door, told police he saw a woman with long, dark hair and wearing a red sweat-shirt and black pants, get out of the cab and walk towards the Highland Park Apartments following the shooting.

Cops served a warrant at the apartment of Davis’ boyfriend, where she allegedly went immediately following the shooting, and found nothing of much evidentiary value — until they looked in the dishwasher.
