Here’s something to keep your brain hopping for a few minutes:
The Phoenix Zoo wants you to guess how many tadpoles will hatch out of an egg mass it received last week as part of a conservation effort. Winners get a cute plush toy and other prizes.
Though perhaps not the intention, the game should also get people guessing about how a worldwide die-off of frogs will affect humans.
The egg mass program is part of an effort by the Zoo to hatch and nurture Chiracahua leopard frogs, then release them into Arizona waterways. With luck, these little critters will be coming soon to a puddle near you.
