Earlier this week, a teenager broke into a Tolleson police officer’s house while he was napping.

You can imagine how that story ends: The Tolleson cop shot the 17-year-old intruder in the head, although he didn’t do so until after police say the teen threatened to throw a “large rock” at the officer.

Judging from the comments section of that post (here), there are a number of people who think the intruder didn’t exactly deserve getting shot in the head.

Whether the kid deserved it is up for debate, but was he — and anyone else who breaks into someone’s home — fair game for shooting?
