Nogales charter school teacher Ricardo Siqueiros took a ride on Interstate 10 toward Phoenix Tuesday evening.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, he took his 19.5 pounds of meth and 12 pounds of cocaine along for the ride.
Siqueiros, 32, was stopped by the cops around 7 p.m. while driving his ’97 BMW Sedan a little too quickly through a construction zone near Eloy while staying too close behind the car in front of him.
DPS Officer Carrick Cook tells New Times that Siqueiros claimed he was on his way to Tempe to see his 4-year-old son.

After police say Siqueiros agreed to a search of his car, it turned out Siqueiros was headed to the Phoenix area for a slightly different reason.
Underneath a false compartment near the rear floorboard of the BMW, the DPS says it found 12 packages of meth — weighing a grand total of 19.5 pounds — and four bags of cocaine adding up to around 12 pounds.
According to a DPS estimate, that’s around $300,000 worth of product.
Cook says Siqueiros “didn’t make a lot of comments” after the stash was discovered, and didn’t mention he was going to see his 4-year-old kid after that.
Cook says the DPS believes Siqueiros was transporting the drugs to somewhere in the Phoenix area.
Siqueiros was booked into the Pinal County Jail on charges of possession of dangerous drugs for sale, transportation of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of narcotic drugs for sale, and transportation of narcotic drugs for sale.
According to Arizona Department of Education records, Siqueiros works at a charter school in Nogales called Mexicayotl Academy.
