Know this guy? Call the cops.

Do you know a dude with a ponytail who just happened to get a lot richer in the past few days? Because the Tempe Police Department is looking for a bank robber just like that.

About 1:40 p.m. Tuesday, the guy pictured to the left went into the First Credit Union on the 1200 block of Baseline Road in Tempe, gave the teller a note and “verbally requested money.”

$30,000

Apparently all you have to do is ask nicely for money, because police say the man never threatened or displayed a weapon.

After acquiring the undisclosed amount of cash, the man ran out, hopped a block wall, and hasn’t been located since.

Police describe him as black with a long ponytail and some facial hair, 5-foot-10, and about160 pounds, as well as having white paint all over himself.

Police ask anyone with information to call the Tempe Police Department at 480-350-8311, or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
