The northeast is the least-popular region in the U.S. for Arizona natives.
5.) States in the Midwest: 4 percent
On the other hand, people from the Midwest sure like moving to Arizona.
4.) California: 6 percent
California’s the only single state where a significant portion of Arizona-born people end up.
3.) States in the South: 7 percent
This includes all the states in the triangle between Texas, Florida, and Virginia.
2.) States in the West not named California: 9 percent
This comes despite these states being some of the least-populated in the country.
1.) Nowhere: 72 percent
As of 2012, nearly three-quarters of people born in Arizona still lived here.
