We’ll spare you the obligatory “nine lives” lede and just hit you with it straight up: a cat in Tucson is lucky to be alive after jumping off a 30-foot-tall utility pole.
The cat, “Kim,” climbed up the pole and stayed there for two days before taking the plunge as rescuers tried to get her down, as you can see in the video posted below.
Rescuers tried to catch the cat in a blanket, but to no avail — Kim hit the ground with a thud, but was OK.
Thankfully, cameras were rolling when Kim made her death-defying dive, and FOX’s Philadelphia affiliate posted the footage on its Web site. Check it out below.
