The woman who chucked a shoe at Hillary Clinton during a speech in Las Vegas has been identified as a Phoenix resident.
Police say 36-year-old Alison Michelle Ernst was the one who threw the shoe at Clinton, although Clinton was able to dodge it.

According to the Las Vegas Sun, she didn’t give any explanation for what she’d done, and wasn’t even supposed to be there to begin with — she had apparently slipped past security at the event, which was hosted by a trade organization. Maricopa County and state court records don’t reveal any criminal history on Ernst, but she does have a fairly extensive history of traffic infractions, including multiple charges of driving on a suspended license.
