It’s been more than six years since Justin Erickson and Wes Hansen moved to Phoenix from Nebraska and opened Pork on a Fork BBQ in Deer Valley. In the passing years, the duo’s smoked meats have earned a spot as one of metro Phoenix’s favorite places for quick-service ‘cue.
Now, Erickson and Hansen have taken their pecan- and mesquite-smoked pork to a new neighborhood — specifically to the southwest corner of Camelback Road and 20th Street, where they recently opened a second Pork on a Fork BQQ restaurant inside the Camelback Colonnade.
The restaurant, located at 1949 East Camelback Road, serves lunch and dinner with a menu that includes everything from pulled pork, smoked brisket, and smoked sausage by the pound to barbecue bowls and burritos. Diners can expect handmade booths, reclaimed barn wood decor, and televisions on most walls. The restaurant also will serve local beer.
You can view the complete menu on the Pork on a Fork website. For more information, check the Pork on a Fork Camelback Facebook.
