Sure, the bohemian artsy hipsters and gallery rats may have laid claim to First Fridays, but there’s no reason Goths and horror geeks shouldn’t have some end-of-the-week fun, too. Thus, MADCAP Theaters’ launch of Black Friday, an evening of bizarre and eerie festivities that starts at 6 p.m. Friday, September 18, and continues on the second Friday of every month.

The inaugural event includes such uncanny attractions as The Cut Throat Freak Show, singer/songwriter Page the Village Idiot, and tarot prognosticator Silver Raven. On the big screen is Devil Girl, a horror/road movie in which a hapless heroine encounters various sinister types on a cross-country trip, including the titular horned hottie.
