It’s March. You can’t drive through any part of the Valley without hitting a traffic jam because of – what else – a freakin’ festival.

Okay, you have two choices: Be miserable and curse the universe, or park your dang car and join in the fun at the 40th Annual Scottsdale Arts Festival. After four decades of throwing this shindig, the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts really knows how to do it up right. This year, the event features 200 jury-selected artists, an art auction, free entrance to the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, live music, and food and wine tastings galore.
