Some football teams are so polarizing that every game they play pits them against a rival. Franchises like the Dallas Cowboys have had so many great seasons that practically every other NFL squad has a reason to hate them.

Then there’s the Arizona Cardinals, who have spent so many of their gridiron campaigns being a punching bag that it’s hard to imagine anybody hating them.

Each team has spoiled the other’s playoff hopes once in the past three seasons, and the animosity bred by recent history is sure to spice things up when the two square off in Glendale. Neither team boasts a good quarterback, a consistent defense, or a realistic shot at the playoffs, but the hatred they share is bound to make the Monday Night Football tussle memorable.
